Oleson Saw Technology has just returned from a visit to the Iseli manufacturing facility in Schoetz, Switzerland. During our visit we received our technical update and advanced training on the RZ-1 automatic leveling and tensioning machine. The RZ-1 is by far the worlds most advanced automatic leveling and tensioning machine available. With over 100 successful installations world-wide lumber mill owners and head saw filers are achieving great benefits by utilizing the RZ-1. A band saw that is put up in a consistent manner and method with help the band mill achieve more uniform thru put and help obtain a more consistent target yield. The latest software version running on the RZ-1 has dramatically reduced the cycle time for the RZ-1 to perform it’s tasks. Customer feedback has been excellent. To date, our customers have reported that the RZ-1 is easy to use due to it’s fully programmable CNC control and has satisfactorily leveled, tensioned, and put back into their band saw blades typically resulting in no need to utilize manual operations on a bench prior to running the band saw.
