A “Brisk Start” For the First-Ever Timber Processing & Energy Expo
Today marks the start of something big: it’s the first day of the first year of the new Timber Processing and Energy Expo. Our Oleson Saw team is already hard at work in Booth 132 alongside some 170 other vendors: showcasing product and discussing current timber industry topics with the visiting crowd.Branded as “a new event for those in the lumber, plywood, engineered products and wood-to-energy industries,” the 2012 Timber Processing and Energy Expo is the direct result of one organization’s desire to change the direction of timber industry trade shows.
Hosted by Hatton-Brown Publishers, producers of some of the industry’s leading magazines, the show focuses mainly on wood products machinery and includes seminars on current issues in mill operations. A secondary spotlight on energy, including wood-based heat, rounds out the event.
The show runs today, October 17 through Friday, October 19 at the Portland Metropolitan Exposition Center in Portland, Oregon.
Interested in the show but unable to attend? Don’t worry! Show producers will provide daily video coverage of the show by 4:00 CST each day. Check out the video below for a sneak peak of the event!
