Conventional Circular Saw Blades

Conventional Circular Saws have equal spacing and gullet depth between teeth. The tooth spacing is the same on each tooth (the distance from the tip of one tooth to the tip of the next tooth) and the gullet depth is the same on every tooth (the deepest part of the tooth). This is the way circular saws have primarily been made since the inception of the saw blade. These saws are primarily ground on a conventional cam operated circular saw sharpener.

Variable Pitch (VPD) Circular Saw Blades

Variable Pitch Circular Saws have a tooth spacing that “varies”. The tooth spacing is different from one tooth to the next tooth. VPD saw blades are most commonly made in variable pitch segments with 5-7 teeth apiece. This segment is repeated as many times as necessary to work around the diameter of the saw blade.

Stellite-Tipped Sawmill Blades

Choosing the correct blade type for your circular saw application helps you improve cutting performance while lowering operating costs. Stellite-tipped circular saw blades are crafted from extremely strong and durable materials that will last longer and save you time and money by extending the periods between sharpening. Our Stellite-tipped blades make precise cuts that limit sawdust loss and are ideal for heavy-duty cutting of logs and hardwood.

Carbide-Tipped Sawmill Blades

Much denser and abrasion-resistant than steel and titanium, quality-made carbide-tipped sawmill blades offer many benefits. Made of a combination of carbide and tungsten, carbide tools provide an exceptionally sharp cutting surface that maintains its edge longer than traditional materials. Our Carbide-tipped circular sawmill blades produce clean, smooth cuts for improved finishing quality with minimal maintenance requirements.

Gang Blades for Sawing Applications

When you have jobs that call for high-precision cutting of hardwood, circular gang saws are the tool of choice. Curved sawing gang blades are available in a variety of dimensions and characteristics based on the types of materials in your processes. We offer Stellite-tipped and carbide-tipped gang blades ideal for the heavy-duty lumber cutting done at lumber mills.

What Our Customers Are Saying

I just wanted to pass along some good news to you and a big “thank you”. We were recently able to test the knife that you supplied us for our “hard-to-cut” material. The “puncture and tear” method that works with other materials would not work with this material.  We had to have a complete cut and this knife provided exactly what we needed without making any machine modifications.  Thank you for all of your time and assistance with this project.

What Our Customers Are Saying

I have been buying custom manufactured saws and knives from York Saw and Knife for over 35 years and have always found their quality and customer service to be exceptional.
